Softness and Growth: Reflecting on Rose Quartz and Beginning Green Aventurine

Before stepping into this week’s crystal, I want to take a moment to reflect on my time with Rose Quartz.

Weekly Crystal Check-In: Rose Quartz

What did I notice while working with Rose Quartz?

I noticed that I became more aware of how I speak to myself. There were moments when my inner dialogue started to turn critical, and instead of letting it spiral, I paused. That pause felt new.

Did anything shift emotionally or mentally?

I felt softer. Not weak. Not overly emotional. Just softer. More aware of my feelings instead of pushing them aside. There was a quiet tenderness that stayed with me throughout the week. I felt lighter. I felt like I enjoyed things that I haven’t enjoyed in some time.

Rose Quartz didn’t create dramatic change. It created space. And sometimes space is exactly what we need.

This Week’s Crystal: Green Aventurine

This week, I’ll be working with Green Aventurine.

If Rose Quartz was about softness and compassion, Green Aventurine feels like gentle forward movement. It’s often associated with growth, opportunity, abundance, and heart-centered confidence.

It feels like the next natural step.

The Energy of Green Aventurine

Green Aventurine is often called the stone of opportunity or good fortune. Its soft green glow carries energy that feels like growth in motion, like a garden slowly expanding after being tended.

It is connected to the heart chakra and is known for helping heal emotional wounds, soften envy, and encourage belief in what is possible. Instead of feeling triggered by someone else’s success, Green Aventurine invites us to see it as proof that abundance exists and that we, too, can receive it.

Its green color comes from tiny fuchsite particles within quartz. Because of these mineral inclusions, it can range from light green to deeper forest tones, sometimes with a subtle shimmer.

Green Aventurine is part of the quartz family and ranks 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it durable enough for everyday wear in jewelry or as a pocket stone.

It has been associated with prosperity, creativity, optimism, and emotional balance. But more than anything, it feels like a stone that says, “Try again.”

Why I’m Choosing Green Aventurine Right Now

After working on self-compassion last week, I don’t want to slip back into hesitation.

Sometimes when we soften, we also become afraid to move forward. I don’t want that. I want growth that feels aligned, not forced.

Green Aventurine feels supportive for:

• Making small but intentional decisions

• Trusting opportunities that feel right

• Believing I’m capable of more

This week isn’t about chasing luck. It’s about noticing where life may already be opening small doors.

How I’m Working With Green Aventurine This Week

This week, I’ll be wearing a Green Aventurine bracelet daily and keeping a tumbled stone near my workspace.

I want it close when I’m making decisions, planning, or thinking about future steps. I’ll spend a few quiet minutes each morning holding it and asking myself:

Where am I ready to grow?

If you’re wearing a Green Aventurine bracelet, wearing it on your left hand can support receiving new opportunities and heart-centered energy.

You can also:

• Carry it in your pocket when attending meetings or making decisions

• Place it on your desk if you’re calling in career growth

• Keep it near your journal while writing goals

• Sleep with it nearby if you’re seeking calm and clarity

Nothing complicated. Just presence and awareness.

A Simple Green Aventurine Ritual

Dreams solidified in writing feel more real.

Place your Green Aventurine in front of you. Take a few deep breaths. Then write down your dreams clearly and specifically, without worrying about how they will happen.

Instead of writing “I hope to someday…,” write them as if you are listing items you’re preparing to receive.

Let Green Aventurine hold the energy of possibility while you hold the belief.

Cleansing and Charging Green Aventurine

You can cleanse Green Aventurine in several gentle ways:

• Smoke cleansing with sage, palo santo, or incense

• Placing it on quartz or selenite

• Running it briefly under cool water

• Leaving it under the full moon

To charge it, hold the crystal and set a simple intention:

“I am open to growth.”

“I trust aligned opportunities.”

“I move forward with confidence and heart.”

Even subtle growth counts.

A Question to Sit With This Week

Where in your life are you being invited to grow, even if it feels slightly uncomfortable?

Growth does not have to be loud. Sometimes it’s a quiet yes.

Weekly Crystal Check-In

At the end of this week, I’ll reflect on:

• What did I notice while working with Green Aventurine?

• Did I feel any shifts in confidence or opportunity?

• What felt aligned?

• Where did I hesitate?

You’re welcome to reflect alongside me in your own way.
