A Shadow Work Series for Healing & Self-Discovery

I've been sitting with a lot of feelings lately—quiet ones, messy ones, old familiar ones I thought I’d already moved past. But what I’m realizing is: healing isn’t a straight line, and sometimes the deeper work invites us to slow down, sit still, and listen again.
So, I’m creating this space—Soft Steps Through the Dark—as a series of reflections, prompts, and sacred pauses. It’s shadow work, but not the kind that demands you be fearless or flawless. It’s soft. Slow. Honest.
And I want to invite you to join me.
🌒 What Is Shadow Work?
Shadow work is the practice of exploring the hidden parts of ourselves—the ones we’ve tucked away because they felt too heavy, too much, or too unworthy. These “shadows” might be old wounds, beliefs, emotions, or memories we were taught to ignore or shame.
Shadow work gently asks:
What am I still carrying that isn’t really mine?
Where did this belief come from?
What needs my compassion, not my judgment?
It’s not about fixing yourself—it’s about meeting yourself more honestly.
🌿 The Roots of Limiting Beliefs
Many of us carry limiting beliefs that quietly shape our lives.
They might sound like:
“I’m not enough.”
“I always mess things up.”
“My voice doesn’t matter.”
“I have to be perfect to be loved.”
“It’s safer to stay small.”
These beliefs usually begin in childhood or through past trauma. Sometimes they come from things we were directly told, and other times from what we weren’t given—emotional safety, acceptance, validation.
Even when they no longer serve us, they can still run deep.
Shadow work helps us unlearn those lies and gently replace them with truth.
🕯️ Why I’m Doing This Series
I’ve already started my own shadow work journey…But I keep falling back into those old beliefs. The ones that say I’m not good enough. That I should be further along. That I’m too much or not enough—depending on the day.
So, I’m doing this to stay rooted. To show up for myself. To make space for growth—even if it’s slow.
And maybe—just maybe—you’ve been feeling something similar.
If so, I’d be honored to have you walk this path with me.
💌 What to Expect
Soft, beginner-friendly prompts
Rituals and cozy reflections
No pressure, no perfection
Just you and your truth, one step at a time
Let this be your invitation. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to begin.
So… are you in?
Leave a comment below, send me a message, or just follow along quietly.
However you show up is enough.
With heart,
Blessed Be,
Bobbi Ann
