A Real-Life Pause
I want to start this post with a little honesty.
I know I’m a bit late getting this one up. Life has been full in quiet, behind-the-scenes ways. I’ve been working on some projects—some that will eventually make their way into the shop, and some that are just for me.
Little things that help me slow down, unwind, and reconnect when I need it.
And honestly, that feels just as important as anything else in this journey.
Weekly Crystal Check-In: Angel Aura Quartz

Looking back on my week with Angel Aura Quartz, I can say that I did feel a shift, especially when I was wearing my bracelet.
It wasn’t overwhelming or dramatic, but it was there. A softness. A lightness.
One thing I noticed that really helped me was repeating my intention throughout the day. Not just setting it once and forgetting about it, but coming back to it when I needed it.
That made a difference.
It also made me realize something important. It’s easier to work with an intention that you can actually remember. Something simple. Something that can come back to you in the moment you need it most.
Because those are the moments that matter.
This Week’s Crystal: Gold Sheen Obsidian

This week, I’m working with Gold Sheen Obsidian, and I can already tell this one feels a little deeper.
Gold Sheen Obsidian is known for its reflective, almost mirror-like energy. It’s often connected to self-discovery, truth, and seeing things more clearly, even the things we might normally avoid.
From what I’ve learned, this stone is associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra, which is tied to personal power, confidence, and a sense of self. It’s also sometimes connected to grounding energy, like other forms of obsidian, but with an added focus on inner strength and awareness.
Historically, obsidian has been used for protection and clarity. It’s a volcanic glass, formed from rapidly cooling lava, which honestly makes its energy feel even more intense to me. There’s something about that transformation from molten to solid that feels symbolic in its own way.
Gold Sheen Obsidian, in particular, is said to help bring hidden patterns, thoughts, or emotions to the surface so they can be seen more clearly.
And if I’m being honest, that feels both interesting and a little intimidating.
But I think that’s part of why I’m here doing this.
If you’re following along this week, I invite you to sit with this crystal in your own way.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t even have to fully understand it yet.
Sometimes just being willing to notice what comes up is enough.
How I’ll Be Working With Gold Sheen Obsidian This Week

As I continue this week with Gold Sheen Obsidian, I’m already learning that how I start matters.
I did set an intention at the beginning of the week, but it wasn’t something that stayed with me. It felt too complicated, and because of that, I didn’t find myself returning to it when I needed it.
So today, I’m changing that.
I’m choosing a simpler intention. Something I can actually remember. Something I can repeat throughout the day without having to stop and think too hard about it.
Right now, I’m leaning toward something like:
“I see myself clearly.”
Short. Simple. Something I can come back to in the moment.

Before continuing, I will cleanse my Gold Sheen Obsidian using palo santo smoke, just like I’ve been doing throughout this series. Taking that time to pause, breathe, and reset always feels like an important step for me.
After cleansing, I’ll hold the crystal for a few moments and set my new intention, really letting it settle in.
This week, I plan to keep the crystal nearby during the day and spend a little time with it in quieter moments, especially when I feel like I need to check in with myself.
I don’t know exactly what this week will bring.
There’s a part of me that’s curious and a part of me that feels a little unsure.
But I’m showing up anyway.

A Simple Grounding & Clarity Ritual for Gold Sheen Obsidian
This ritual is meant to help you slow down, ground yourself, and gently begin to look inward.
You don’t need anything complicated. Just a quiet moment and your crystal.
1. Find a quiet space
Sit somewhere comfortable where you won’t be interrupted. Take a few slow, steady breaths and allow your body to relax.
2. Cleanse the crystal
Pass your Gold Sheen Obsidian through palo santo smoke, or simply hold it while taking a few deep breaths.
3. Hold the crystal
Place the crystal in your hands or rest it near your solar plexus area. Close your eyes and bring your awareness inward.
4. Set your intention
Repeat your intention softly:
“I see myself clearly.”
5. Sit with what comes up
Spend a few minutes in stillness. If thoughts or emotions come up, just notice them.
You don’t need to fix anything right now.
6. Close gently
Take a deep breath and slowly return to your day.
Weekly Reflection Questions
At the end of the week, I like to pause and reflect.
If you’re working with Gold Sheen Obsidian, you might ask yourself:
Did anything come up that I wasn’t expecting?
Did I notice moments of clarity or self-awareness?
Did my intention feel easy to return to?
What did this crystal teach me about myself?
Even the smallest observations matter.
Crystal Series: Working Through the Collection
I’ve made a few changes to the order of this series as I’ve continued along this journey.
I’m learning that this process isn’t about sticking to a perfectly planned path. It’s about listening, adjusting, and working with what feels right in the moment.
This is the flow I’m following right now, but it may continue to shift as I go. If it does, I’ll always keep you updated.
