🎵The Spell of Sound: How Music Moves Me

Updated: May 23

Music has always been one of the most powerful tools in my life. It’s more than just something I listen to—it’s something I feel. It has held me, shielded me, danced with me, and even helped me disappear when I needed to.

There are days when I use music to block out the world, just to find a little quiet in the storm. Other times, it becomes my way of being alone without feeling lonely. Music helps me shift into the right mood when I’m feeling off, or when I simply crave a touch of normalcy in a world that often feels anything but.

Lately, my playlist has felt like a healing sanctuary. I’ve been especially drawn to artists like Shanin Blake, Carly Pearl, Moonlight Scorpio, and Shylah Ray Sunshine—each one offering something soulful and empowering, full of feminine fire and earthy truth. Their voices carry a kind of magic, like medicine for the spirit.

Music, to me, is a sacred space. It’s memory. It’s emotion. It’s ritual.

When I hear a certain song, I’m instantly transported—sometimes to a moment in my life, sometimes to a version of myself I’m just now beginning to understand. It soothes me when I’m overwhelmed, lifts me when I’m sinking, and grounds me when everything feels scattered.

I’d love to know—what’s on your playlist right now? What does music mean to you? Does it help you heal? Move? Remember?

Music is a mirror and a spell, and I’m forever grateful for the way it finds me just when I need it most.
