šŸ¦šŸš— Tarot With Me: The Chariot & Strength

Soft Power, Steady Progress & Aligning with Purpose

Welcome back to Tarot With Me, where we explore the cards one (or sometimes two!) at a time in a gentle, beginner-friendly way. This week, we’re walking with two powerful forces: StrengthĀ and The Chariot. These cards might seem very different at first glance—one all soft control, the other focused momentum—but when paired, they reveal something beautiful: true power flows when inner calm and outer direction work in harmony.

🌿 Strength: The Courage to Stay Soft

The Strength card invites us to look within. It’s not about brute force or dominating the world around us—this card whispers of courage, compassion, and the kind of bravery that doesn’t need to roar. Here, we’re reminded that calm confidence and emotional balanceĀ are more powerful than we often give them credit for.

Upright, Strength reflects:

  • Inner resilience

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Confidence grounded in love, not ego

  • Taming fears and impulses with gentleness

  • Personal healing and spiritual growth

This is the card that reminds us it’s okay to be vulnerable. In fact, it’s a strength in itself.

When reversed, it gently asks:

  • Are you doubting your ability to cope?

  • Is fear louder than your faith in yourself?

  • Have you lost connection to your inner steadiness?

It’s a nudge to recenter, breathe, and meet yourself with kindness.

šŸ›¤ļø The Chariot: Aligned Action & Moving Forward

If Strength is the still, quiet power within, The Chariot is its motion made manifest. This card is all about forward movement, determination, and the will to keep going—even when things feel uncertain.

In the Sharman-Caselli deck, the Charioteer drives without reins—meaning their mind and willpower steer the way.Ā The two horses (or sphinxes) may pull in different directions, symbolizing inner conflict. But with clarity and commitment, we steer our path.

Upright, The Chariot encourages:

  • Discipline and control

  • Clear direction

  • Confidence in your purpose

  • Overcoming roadblocks

  • Progress in love, career, or self-growth

It asks us: What are you aiming for? What might need balancing to move forward with intention?

Reversed, it may highlight:

  • Feeling stuck or scattered

  • Avoidance of difficult decisions

  • Struggles with willpower or motivation

  • A need to regroup before charging ahead

In those moments, it’s okay to pause and reassess. Direction matters more than speed.

šŸ’« Together: A Gentle Nudge & a Firm Step

This week’s cards speak to a dance between softness and drive. Strength tells us to be kind to ourselves, especially in the face of doubt. The Chariot reminds us we still get to move forward—that healing and growth don’t mean standing still. Sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is take a step, even if it’s a slow one.

Starting next week, I’ll begin exploring two cards at a time, just like this post, to help connect themes and deepen the journey. I hope this pace feels supportive and spacious for your own reflections.
