There’s something so special about having an abundance of one herb—it’s like the Earth is nudging you toward a lesson or blessing waiting to bloom. For me, that herb right now is cilantro. After sharing how I’ve been using it in meals and rituals, I wanted to follow up with even more magical ways to make use of it—especially if you’re also swimming in fresh bundles like I am!
If you’ve ever felt drawn to kitchen witchery but weren’t sure where to begin, cilantro is a wonderful, easy ally to get started with. It’s bright, bold, full of healing energy, and ready to help you clear what no longer serves and invite in something fresh.

🧹 Cilantro Floor Wash (For Energetic Cleansing)
This is one of my favorite simple rituals—especially when I feel like energy is just stuck or heavy in my space.
What you need:
A few handfuls of fresh cilantro
A pot of water
Optional: lemon peel, a dash of sea salt, rosemary
How to use:
Simmer your herbs for 10–15 minutes. Let it cool, strain, and pour into your mop bucket or a spray bottle. While cleaning, set your intention:
“May I sweep away the old, and welcome peace.”

This is wonderful before a new moon, after shadow work, or when you've had a tough emotional week.
🔥 Cilantro Smoke Bundle (Air Magic & Release)
Yes—cilantro can be dried and used as a smoke-cleansing bundle!
How to make:
Bundle cilantro stems and leaves with rosemary or lavender
Tie with natural twine
Hang upside down in a dry space for about a week
Once dried, light the very tip and gently waft the smoke with intention. A great option for:
Cleansing your altar or tarot deck
Releasing stagnant thoughts
Preparing a dream journal space
🌿 Green Protection Sachet
Herbs + intention = quiet, powerful magic.
To make:
Dried cilantro
Coriander seeds
Rosemary
A bay leaf (write a wish or your name on it)
A scrap of fabric or sachet bag
Tuck it in your purse, hang near your front door, or keep under your pillow. This makes a beautiful intention-setting ritual for fresh starts, emotional healing, or even travel protection.
🫒 Herb-Infused Oil (Heart-Centered Nourishment)
Use what you grow to nourish your body and soul.
What you need:
A jar of olive oil
Fresh cilantro
Lemon peel
A clove of garlic
Let it steep for a few days in the fridge, then use it:
In your kitchen magic
To anoint candles or tools
Or drizzle over bread during a blessing meal
While prepping, whisper your intention into the jar. I like saying something simple like:
“With this oil, I invite brightness and bold joy into my life.”
🧊 Magical Ice Cubes (Kitchen Alchemy)
Chop fresh cilantro and freeze with a splash of lemon juice or broth in ice cube trays. I use these when I want a meal to feel like a fresh start—or when I’m cooking for someone I love.
Stir into soups or stews with an intention like:
“May this nourish the body and lighten the heart.”
🌼 Cilantro Garland or Crown (Joyful Craft Magic)
Feeling whimsical? Weave cilantro stems into a tiny crown or circle for:
Beltane or solstice celebrations
A morning altar offering
A self-love bath ritual
You can hang it over your kitchen sink or place it on your altar with a candle and small bowl of water to invite in joy and love.
