Rooted in Wood: Introducing My Handcrafted Wooden Goods

There’s something grounding about working with wood.

Scrap wood = endless possibilities
Pile of scrap wood

It’s solid. It holds weight. It carries grain lines that tell quiet stories. No two pieces are ever exactly the same — and I’ve grown to really love that.

Over the past weeks, I’ve been working on a small collection of handcrafted wooden pieces: hexagon bowls and raised platform boards. Each one was made slowly, intentionally, and finished by hand. Each bowl and board is handmade with intention, a process I discuss more in Finding My Way Back when I explore creativity and alignment.

These pieces were created with versatility in mind. These pieces can live anywhere — on a nightstand, a kitchen counter, or part of your own small sacred space as I explore in Creating Sacred Corners.

I didn’t want them to be limited to one world.

Ritual or routine. Sacred or simple. The choice is yours.

The Hexagon Bowls

The bowls are shaped in a simple hexagon form — structured but soft.

Each bowl is made from solid wood with a balsa wood base and finished with food-safe mineral oil and multiple coats of food-safe butcher block conditioner. I chose this finish because it enhances the natural color and grain of the wood while keeping the piece safe and usable for everyday life.

They’re ideal for:

  • crystals or herbs

  • jewelry or keepsakes

  • keys and coins

  • small meaningful objects

They’re perfect for ritual or everyday life — whether on your altar or around the home — echoing themes I share in From Steam to Spirit.

They’re meant to be used — not just admired.

The Platform Boards

The platform boards were created as small elevated surfaces. I originally imagined them as compact altar spaces — especially for those who don’t have room for something permanent or large.

The tops are pine, treated with a burn technique before being sealed with a clear polycrylic finish. The feet are solid pine as well, stained to gently contrast with the surface. The smaller boards have round feet, while the larger boards use rectangular feet for added stability.

They’re simple, grounded, and adaptable.

Use them for:

  • altar setups

  • plants

  • candles

  • kitchen displays

  • entryway catch-all's

  • layered decor

The possibilities are honestly endless.

Introductory Pricing

I’ve listed all of these wooden pieces at introductory pricing.

There isn’t one flat discount across the board — each item is priced intentionally based on size, material, and design. This introductory pricing is simply my way of releasing them into the world and letting them find their first homes.

As the shop grows and these designs evolve, pricing will reflect that growth.

For now, this feels like the right place to begin.

Working with wood has been grounding for me. It’s slower than other projects. More physical. More patient. And I think you can feel that in each finished piece.

If you’d like to explore the collection, you can find all of the wooden goods in the shop under Handcrafted Wooden Items.

This is just the beginning of a growing collection of handcrafted wooden goods.

If you’d like to follow along as I release new pieces, share styling ideas, and explore ways to create meaningful space in your home, check out related blog posts below or visit the shop to see what’s currently available.

Thank you for being here while I build this slowly and intentionally.

Rooted, steady, and creating as I go.

Blessed Be,

Bobbi Ann
