Tarot With Me: A Beginner’s First Step

If you’ve ever felt drawn to tarot but didn’t know where to start, you’re in good company—because I’m right there too. I’ve always been fascinated by the imagery and mystery of tarot cards, but for the longest time, I was too nervous to actually begin. What if I did it wrong? What if I couldn’t remember all the meanings?

But recently, something shifted. I realized I don’t have to know everything right away. I can start small. I can learn one card at a time. I can let tarot become a gentle, curious part of my spiritual journey—without pressure, without perfection.

Tarot is a form of divination, which means it’s a tool for connecting with deeper insight—whether that’s your intuition, spiritual guides, the universe, or whatever feels sacred to you. It doesn’t have to be about predicting the future (though it can be, for some); for me, it’s more about reflection, clarity, and connection.

So I’m starting a new series here on the blog: Tarot With Me.

Each week (or maybe each month—depending on how life flows), I’ll be learning a new card and sharing what I discover. I’ll include the traditional meanings, how the imagery makes me feel, and any thoughts or reflections that come up. If you’re just starting out too, or even if you’re more experienced but want to revisit the basics with fresh eyes, I’d love to have you join me.

Let’s turn tarot into something approachable and personal, like a cup of tea and a quiet moment with a friend.

To begin, I’ll be starting with The Fool—the very first card in the Major Arcana and such a perfect place for new beginnings. That post will be up next week, and I hope you’ll come along.

Let’s learn this magic slowly, together.

Blessed Be,

Wide-eyed and wandering into the cards,

Bobbi Ann
