🌕 Flower Moon Rising: May 12 – A Time to Bloom

Updated: May 23

As the full moon graces the sky on May 12, we’re greeted by the Flower Moon—a name rooted in nature’s bursting blossoms and the fullness of spring energy. This moon is a gentle reminder that growth takes time, and now is the season to honor how far we've come while reaching tenderly toward what’s next.

Named by Indigenous peoples and Old English traditions, the Flower Moon celebrates the abundance of blooms that color the earth this time of year. It's a potent time for gratitude, intention-setting, and emotional renewal.

🌸 What the Flower Moon Brings

  • Energy of Abundance – Everything is growing, not just around you, but within you. Think of the ideas, dreams, and habits you've been nurturing. What’s blossoming now?

  • Emotional Awakening – Full moons often stir our inner waters. You might feel extra sensitive, dreamy, or reflective. Let it guide you inward.

  • Time to Release – Like petals falling to the earth, this moon invites you to let go of what’s outgrown—old fears, stale habits, self-doubt.

🌕 What You Can Do on May 12

1. Moon Bath Ritual: Find a quiet spot—outside under the moonlight if you can, or by a window. Sip a warm tea (chamomile, lavender, or clover are perfect for this). Light a candle or incense, and simply bask in the moon’s glow. Feel her light softening you.

2. Journal Your Blooming: Write down:

  • What has blossomed for me this spring?

  • What am I ready to let go of?

  • How can I keep nurturing my growth?

3. Flower Offering: Collect fallen or foraged flower petals (ethically, always). Create a small offering on your altar or outdoors as a gesture of gratitude to the Earth and Moon.

4. Full Moon Release Jar: Take a small jar and write on slips of paper the things you’re ready to release. Fold them up and place them inside. Seal it with intention. You can bury it later, burn it (safely), or keep it until you feel those things truly let go.

5. Circle of Blossoming Protection: Draw a soft circle around yourself using wildflowers, herbs, or crystals. Whisper your intentions for growth, and ask the moon to guide you with gentle light.

🌕 A Quiet Invitation...

If you’re reading this under the Flower Moon, I’d love to know:

🌼 What’s one thing you’ve noticed blooming in your life lately?

🌘 Is there something you're ready to gently let go of?

You don’t have to share a lot—just a whisper is enough. A word, a feeling, even an emoji 🌸—it all counts. If you're here, I'm truly glad you are. This space is just beginning to grow, and so are we.

With the moon above and the earth beneath, may you bloom bravely.

Blessed Be,

Bobbi Ann 🌼
